The Director of the Federal Budgetary Establishment “Saint-Petersburg Forestry Research Institute” and his deputies take part in the Russia-wide conference “Main Highlights in Forestry Management for the year 2014 and Tasks for 2015”

The Russia-wide conference “Main Highlights in Forestry Management for the Year 2014 and Tasks for 2015, held on April 7 2015 was attended by the director of the Federal Budgetary Establishment “Saint-Petersburg Forestry Research Institute”  I.A.Vasilev, along with deputy directors A.Y.Vorobev and A.A.Stepchenko.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the management of the Federal Forestry Agency, the regional heads of the Russian Federation, deputies from the State Duma and Federation Council members, representatives of authoritative bodies in the field of regional forest relations of the Russian Federation, the business world, NGOs as well as the scientific community.

The participants of the Meeting were greeted with a welcoming speech by the deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin and the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy.

The final report on the activities within the forestry sector in 2014 was presented by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and head of the Federal Forestry Agency, Ivan Valentik.

During the Russia-wide conference awards were handed out to regional leaders and executive authorities in the field of forest relations.

At the exhibition, which was held within the framework of the event, an exposition organized by the Federal Budgetary Establishment “Saint-Petersburg Forestry Research Institute” demonstrated the development innovations of the institute.
